Make a difference to quality of life for older people as a new trustee with Learning for the Fourth Age (L4A). L4A is a small and successful charity based in Leicester offering learning and one-to-one activities, which increase wellbeing and mental stimulus for more than 200 older people a year. Our trained volunteer learning mentors work in care homes or sheltered accommodation and independent evaluation is very positive – see: http://www.l4a.org.uk/news/2014/08/external-evaluation/

And visit http://www.l4a.org.uk for more information on L4A.
The Board of Trustees wishes to recruit two or more new Trustees for the next phase of development. You need to have an interest in our work, and ideally have a specialism in one or more of the following: health and social care for older people; health and care commissioning; marketing and business acumen; or fundraising.
The Board meets around six times a year in central Leicester and L4A gives induction and pays Trustee expenses.

We would love to hear from you.
