How you can help L4A

Become a learning mentor

…and deliver this hugely important service. You can work with up to 5 residents per placement on a one–to–one basis sharing interests, discussing opinions and facilitating their learning.

We always need learning mentors and believe that everybody has something important to contribute to the lives of care home residents. We will induct you, train you and support you throughout your placement. We also hold monthly social meetings where you can share tips and experiences, ask questions and be part of a wider L4A network. We also refund all legitimate expenses, provide enhanced CRB checks and insure you throughout your time with us.

If you are interested and can spare 2 or 3 hrs per week please fill in this short form.

Volunteer

As well as volunteer learning mentor roles, we also have other positions for volunteers, from administrative staff to one off session facilitators to members of our advisory board. Residents love art and craft sessions, ballroom dancing and learning or developing languages. They have a wide range of interests and we have (or can find) a volunteer position to suit most people.

If you have skills to share, are interested or for further information please do not hesitate to contact us, either via email or on 07821881987.
